Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, it is already 2024. In the past three years, China's rail transit industry has experienced steady and solid development. A proud statistic is that as of now, the number of certified enterprises for DIN6701 and its upgraded EN17460 has exceeded 320 in China, with an average annual growth rate of nearly 20 compared to over 270 before the pandemic. This is not just a growth in numbers, but also a true reflection of the importance and investment in bonding technology in China's rail transit industry.
Looking back at the end of 2019, Germany was far ahead with nearly 390 certified companies, while China still had a gap of over 100. Nowadays, this gap has narrowed to sixty, which can be described as a leapfrog progress. This indirectly reflects that the demand for adhesive technology in China's rail transit industry is urgent, and the application of adhesive technology in rail transit has become indispensable.
It is worth noting that the newly added enterprises or products are mainly concentrated in the A2 or A3 categories, which have a more urgent demand for bonding compared to the A1 level. Adhesive technology, as a special connection method, poses higher requirements for the management of the entire process than conventional processes. In the field of bonding, the requirements for personnel are clear and urgent, which has been fully reflected in the expert forums on bonding in recent years. Various adhesive companies have reached a consensus that "work is done".
During the audit process, I found that some companies have trained grassroots operators, but have not fully utilized the advantages of EAB (European Adhesive Operators/Operators) personnel. This advantage is not only reflected in the technical aspect, but also in the sense of responsibility, ability to identify and solve problems. At present, the most common mistake that enterprises make is the arbitrary transfer of personnel, which leads to non-standard operations and poses great risks to every bonding process.
In the past few years, even A2 pieces that are not usually taken seriously have experienced batch bonding quality abnormalities. This is enough to illustrate that bonding technology cannot be ignored, and even the slightest mistake can lead to serious consequences. Fortunately, more and more companies are paying attention to the management of frontline adhesive personnel, and improving the application level of adhesive technology through the provision of auxiliary personnel for recording, increasing training intensity and frequency, and other methods.
Nowadays, with the continuous development of adhesive technology in China, more and more enterprises are paying attention to the research and application of bonding technology. From design, process, quality control and other aspects, they are all paving the way for the application of bonding technology. With the large-scale production of FRP materials and the application of "bonding instead of welding", the application of bonding in the rail transit industry has shown a diversified trend, with more diverse joint forms and richer materials and products.
Looking ahead to the future, as more companies discover the combination and utilization of connection technology in the product design process, as well as the new requirements of load/function on products, adhesive technology will be valued by more companies in a more convenient and proficient way of application. We believe that in the near future, the bonding technology in China's rail transit industry will usher in a broader development space.
