The business scope of Volkswagen (Anhui) Parts Co., Ltd. includes: engineering and technology research and test development; battery manufacturing; and battery sales. The factory is a battery system factory wholly owned by Volkswagen Group in China. Its initial annual production capacity can reach 150,000-180,000 high-voltage battery systems, all of which will be used for pure electric models produced at Volkswagen's Anhui MEB factory. The factory covers an area of more than 45,000 square meters and is adjacent to the Volkswagen Anhui MEB factory. Volkswagen Group (China) plans to invest more than 140 million euros in the construction of new factories and supporting facilities by 2025, and the factory will be put into production in the second half of 2023.

This training was delivered by Chao Gaoyi, a senior lecturer at Yifa Bonding and Composites Research Institute.
