An epidemic suddenly stopped the pace of enterprises, and the large-scale production of "Green Giant" high-speed train orders came to a sudden halt. When discussing the direction with a leader from the host factory, he said that at this time, the enterprise should improve its technological level and develop towards innovation. Immediately he asked, "Do you have a 6701 certificate?" "What is a 6701 certificate?" "It's an adhesive system certification!" Adhesive also requires a quality system certification, which left me, a senior engineer who has been working in adhesive for 28 years and considers myself very skilled, confused.

In 1992, while working in a state-owned enterprise, I was on a business trip and overheard a guest talking about Loctite. Out of curiosity about new technologies, I quietly went to a Loctite user named "North China Metallurgical Construction Group" to investigate. In July of that year, I participated in the "Loctite Technology Application Training on Mining Vehicles" held in Yantai, and thus embarked on the entrepreneurial path of becoming a Loctite agent in a state-owned enterprise. From agency to technical services, product development, and engineering contracting, I have grown from a small shop with an annual business of hundreds of thousands to today having two high-tech enterprises with an annual revenue of 50 million yuan serving metallurgy and high-speed rail manufacturing. I have never heard of "DIN6701 certification" and "EAE" European adhesive engineers.

Subsequently, upon returning to the company to implement this certification, the first step is to train adhesive workers, adhesive technicians, and adhesive engineers, with a considerable cost; The Minister of Technology told me that everything else is easy to handle, but one thing is very difficult: EAE requires a full-time undergraduate degree or above. Currently, one full-time undergraduate student in the company has taken the EN15085 European Welding Engineer exam, while another master's student (son) is quarantined in Australia and cannot return. Only I am qualified to participate in learning, training, and exams.

？？？ A series of question marks, although I have worked on nearly a thousand bonding projects of various sizes for more than 20 years and published many papers on bonding technology in journals, they are all based on experience! What does this training learn? How to learn? With so many things to do in the company, can we allocate one week each month for 8 consecutive months? The biggest question is whether I can pass the closed book exam at the age of 57? The only attraction is the opportunity to study in Germany for three weeks for the last time.

After implementation, the training institution is called "Yifa Adhesive", which is a professional organization that introduced DIN6701 from Germany to China. It is also the only partner of Fraunhofer IFAM, the DIN6701 writing unit, in China. Manager Ma, who is in charge of the business, encouraged me, saying that there is no problem. Our CEO also came from Loctite, and I understand that those who have worked in Loctite are all graduates of the Huangpu Military Academy of Engineering Adhesives. You will definitely pass the entrance examination. Months of study have also proven that Manager Ma is right. Mr. Zhang from Yifa is indeed a graduate of Huangpu Military Academy, with good lectures and rich experience. He has reached a master level in adhesive applications, and his sincere and thoughtful communication and interaction with students are top-notch.

With a nervous heart, I came to Shanghai in August 2020 and started my first week of study. Most of my classmates were young engineering and technical personnel.
