Fraunhofer Gesellschaft presents joint booth at 2024 International Rail Transit Technology Exhibition

The 14th Berlin International Rail Transit Technology Expo will open on September 24, 2024. About 200 Chinese companies, including CRRC and China State Railway Group, will participate in the exhibition.

The theme of this exhibition is "The Future of Mobility", with low-carbon rail technology driven by electricity and hydrogen, as well as digital and intelligent solutions becoming the focus. This exhibition attracted more than 2,900 exhibitors from 59 countries and regions. During the four-day exhibition, exhibitors will showcase the latest products and innovations in five fields including railway technology, railway infrastructure, and public transportation.

InnoTrans is a leading international transportation technology trade exhibition held every two years in Berlin. It is the largest and most influential exhibition in the world's rail transit industry and is known as the "Olympic" event of the rail transit industry. InnoTrans is divided into five trade fair sections: Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction, and occupies all 42 exhibition halls of the Berlin exhibition grounds. At the 2024 International Rail Transit Technology Exhibition (InnoTrans), the product portfolio displayed by Fraunhofer IFAM is as follows:

1. Adhesive bonding technology for the transportation industry: comprehensive expertise from the design and optimization of bonded joints to practical implementation. Working closely with the transport industry, especially rail transport, we provide professional support for bonding technology in this area.

2. Adhesive bonding process certification:

The training center offers internationally recognized certification courses for European Bonding Operators (EAB), European Bonding Technicians (EAS) and European Bonding Engineers (EAE).

The Fiber Composites Training Center offers courses for FRP (fiber reinforced composites) manufacturers, FRP repairers and FRP specialists, as well as modular training courses for composites engineers.

3. Adhesive bonding technology achievements that meet high-quality standards: Its adhesive bonding technology meets high-quality standards such as DIN 2304/EN ISO 21368 and DIN 6701/EN 17460, and its TBBCert certification agency has obtained DAkkS (German Accreditation Board) recognition.
