The seventh EAE student of Yifa Adhesive visited and studied at 3M Company in Shanghai

On December 16, 2021, Yifa Bonding & Composite Research Institute organized the seventh session of EAE, a European adhesive engineer, to intern and visit the 3M Coating Equipment Laboratory and 3M China R&D Center in Shanghai. They were warmly received by the relevant staff of 3M Company. This activity is part of the EAE adhesive training course's practical course on "Adhesive Manufacturing Technology and Equipment".

At 3M's Adhesive User Experience Center, a 6-axis robot demonstrated the automatic application, rolling, and cutting of adhesive tape, as well as the fully automated peeling of release paper, achieving seamless operation. Another robot achieves fully automated construction of two-component liquid adhesives. The technicians also demonstrated the mechanized and rapid operation of tape and various handheld tape application tools, introducing some dosage units of two-component adhesives. The students personally operate the robot to apply specific shapes of adhesive strips according to their instructions, and operate the tape equipment to complete complex movements.

At the 3M China R&D Center building, through detailed introductions by 3M technicians, students learned about the applications of 3M's adhesive and tape products in fields such as rail transit, automotive, electronics, and healthcare. 3M Company has a wide variety of adhesive products with various uses. This visit and learning experience combined theory with practice, which opened the eyes of the students and increased their knowledge. Thank you to 3M for their strong support.
